Soundproofing of hulls with Noxudol 3100

The customer began using Noxudol 3100 to soundproof the hull, which made it possible to reduce material costs, significantly lower the weight, and improve the soundproofing performance.

Before: The customer glued a 1.5 mm thick aluminum sheet with 1 mm of adhesive to the inside of the hull, which required 1 hour of labor per square meter. All aluminum sheets were cut to exact sizes to fit. The weight per square meter was 5 kg.

Today: All vertical surfaces that require soundproofing are now treated with Noxudol 3100. Up to 5 kg/m² can be applied without exceeding the cost of the previous aluminum sheet system. However, thanks to Noxudol 3100’s excellent sound-dampening properties and the ability to cover 100% of all vertical surfaces, 2 kg/m² is sufficient (approximately 3 liters/m² of wet material). Where additional soundproofing is desired, up to 3 kg/m² can be used.

Results:
– Less labor time per square meter, with a total reduction of up to 80%

– Noxudol 3100 contains no solvents and is not classified as hazardous goods
