MERCASOL 4
Mercasol 4 is a solvent-based, stone chip and abrasion-resistant product based on bitumen, waxes and resins. The product provides effective protection for a long time. Mercasol 4 has been compatibility tested with most automotive brands’ various rust protection systems and is approved for use by a majority of these.
The wet film properties facilitate applying the film in a thick layer while the dry film properties prevent the film from chipping off with, for example, gravel. Mercasol 4 is intended for professional stone chip and rust protection treatments for wheel wells and other exposed parts of a vehicle’s undercarriage.
Treatment
Apply Mercasol 4 to a dry surface that is free from rust, dirt, salt, oil, etc. For stronger rust protection, use Mercasol 831 ML in cavities, joints and similar areas before applying Mercasol 4. Mercasol 4 is best applied with a putty knife or coarse brush, although other application methods are possible.
