We are Auson, a Swedish family business founded in 1928 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Since our conception we have been focusing on protective surface coatings that enable our customers to lengthen the lifetime of their vehicles and shield them from corrosion.

Building on a collaboration with the OEM sector since the 60s, we have the full portfolio of products to meet any requirements on anti-corrosion and anti-abrasion. Furthermore, we can also provide a full portfolio of solvent free materials, both for OEMs and the after market.

For generations our focus has been on quality, long-term partnerships and sustainable growth. We are still based in the greater Gothenburg region where we are led by Per and Jakob Udesen, the third and fourth generation, to continue the legacy of our founder, Arthur Udesen. We in-house all our production and have end-to-end capabilities in our lab, which are responsible to continue deliver and develop best-in-class solutions for the automotive industry and partners looking for a serious third-party manufacturer.

Our brands

It is natural for us to strive to minimize the environmental impact of our products and production. As a result, an increasing number of our rust-protection products are solvent-free, and production emissions have been reduced to less than half of permitted levels. We continuously strive to exceed strict quality and environmental requirements.

Noxudol – Specialized Surface Chemicals

Noxudol is our OEM brand, where we provide both solvent based and solvent-free materials that adhere to the strict requirements of the OEM sector. Our products have shown to not only be used in the automotive industry but also in the ship-building sector together with construction of major infrastructure projects.

Noxudol 700

Noxudol 700 is a solvent-free penetrating oil that is indented for hollow spaces where low viscosity binding compounds and additives have been mixed to enable application at room temperature. The material forms a soft waxy, strongly hydro fob corrosive protecting film.

The product penetrates up to 20mm and do not carry any kind of ADR classification. Furthermore, it can withstand temperatures below freezing and can be used in the aftermarket for users that are looking to reduce their VOC emissions.

Mercasol – Comprehensive Anti-Corrosion Coatings

Mercasol is our brand for the aftermarket, with a comprehensive catalogue of products to address all aspects of anti-corrosion for the automotive industry. All products are produced with low aromatic solvents, which provides reductions in VOC and the best possible working conditions for users.

Mercasol 1

Mercasol 1 is a thin solvent borne well penetrating corrosion protection fluid based on wax, sulphonate and oil. The product has very good corrosion protection properties during long periods of time. The wax dries to form a brown, greasy, moisture-repellent film. Mercasol 1 has been compatibility tested with the most common corrosion protection systems on the market and is approved to be used on a major part of the different vehicle brands.

The product is approved according to SS 18 65 11 and a considerable amount of the composition of Mercasol 1 consists of renewable raw materials.
